Product Specification
The first machine in the system takes the printed or blank sheets of substrate (typically Polycarbonate, PET or PVC) and punches holes or slots at predetermined positions – in register with print marks – the marks are printed with the card or document images so the holes or slots are accurately registered to the images on each sheet. Any blank layers will normally not need such critical registration but the holes /slots can be positioned using sheet edges if required.
It is these registered holes and slots that can then be used to accurately collator (gather) the multiple sheet layers while maintaining consistency throughout the assembly.
